Dr. Benson recently completed an Ironman Triathlon in Wilmington, NC.  To compete in this type of competition, one must train for a year in running, swimming and cycling.  He trained by swimming in Lake Wylie 2-3 times per week, running 15-20 miles per week, and cycling 50-100 miles per week.  All this hard work and endurance paid off when he completed the Ironman Triathlong in 11 hours and 59 minutes, placing 20th out of 64 participants in his age bracket.  Congratulations Dr. Benson!

Dr. Miller competed in the Southern Closed Clay Court Tennis Championship.  He trains many days with Dr. Benson, including swimming across Lake Wylie twice a week and tennis practice.  He and his partner won the 30 and over championship.

Dr. Robinson made his second appearance in the US Senior Amateur Golf Champtionship in September at the Beverly Country Club in Chicago.  Dr. Robinson qualified for the tournament by tying for 1st place at a sectional event at Carolina Country Club in Raleigh, NC, shootuing a 3 under par 68.  Although Dr. Robinson did not win the tournament, it was the envy of all weekend golfers and considered an experience of a life time.

Several staff members of Rock Hill Gyn & Ob and their family members participated in the American Cancer Society Breast Cancer walk in Charlotte, NC.  Included were:  Lauren, Julie, Teri, Mimi and Hollis.  By participating and selling tee shirts representing breast cancer awareness, we raised over $500 to help in the research for a cure for breast cancer.

Over the holidays, the whole practice particpated in a toy drive for Toys for Happiness.  We collected over 60 toys for area children.

Rock Hill Gyn & Ob was recently recognized by the Medical Group Management Association for superior performance.  Our organization was cited as a better performing practice in the areas of profitability and cost management, productivity, capacity, staffing, accounts receivable and collections, and patient satisfaction.



  • H1N1 Vaccine We have a limited number of H1N1 vaccine injections and nasal mist available in our office.  Our first priority is for our obstetrical patients to receive the vaccine injection.
